Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired By A Song plus Hare Polish- Lana Del Rey LE Duo - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a great start to their week! My parents left to Mexico this past Friday and I miss them already. My family and I are really close so it's weird not seeing them everyday, or at least talking to them. I'm happy for them though because I know they're enjoying their much needed vacation, surrounded by lots of family. Anyways, it's time for another Twinsie Tuesday post and this week's theme is Inspired By A Song! It actually could not have been more perfect because I just got some awesome nail mail that goes so well with this prompt. Check out all the info down below.

Because I'm obsessed with Lana Del Rey, I wanted to do some nail art inspired by her but then I guess that's not really inspired by a song, plus I don't have stiletto nails haha. But then I remembered that I had just gotten my order from Hare Polish from her most recent release of their Lana Del Rey inspired Limited Edition duo where each polish is named after one of her songs! Sure, I got a little lazy because I didn't do any nail art with it, but the polishes are so gorgeous, they're fine on their own! Plus, I also don't have all my stuff right now because I'm house sitting for my parents so I only brought over the essentials. Here's a fun little fact, Nikole (the creator of Hare Polish), went to see Lana Del Rey the same night I did! I think it was about 2 weeks ago. She created this after being inspired that night by 'the swaying queen of sadness' as Nikole put it. Ok, enough rambling and on to the swatches!

I'm Your National Anthem is described by Hare Polish's blog as "a retro cherry red jelly with blue/purple ultra chrome flakies, gold flakies, and holographic glitter." I wore 3 coats with no top coat for the pictures below. I'm Your National Anthem is part of LDR's first CD, Born To Die.You can watch the official video here.

I'm really loving this polish! The red goes so well with everything! I also like that Hare Polish is now adding a bit of holo in there because most of their polishes don't have any. Can't wait to see what they come up with next. This was a bit sheer on the first two coats but really built opacity by the third. It was pretty shiny without a top coat.

Pretty When I Cry is described by Hare Polish's blog as "a sandy beige jelly with metallic silver flakes (that come off sort of golden) and iridescent blue mini flakies and shimmer." I wore 3 coats with a top coat. The actual name of the song is Pretty When You Cry and it's part of LDR's third CD, Ultraviolence. You can listen to it here.

What a great nude polish! I think it would be totally appropriate to wear at work. You'll catch the blue flakies shimmering! It was a bit sheer with the first 2 coats but got full coverage with the third. My nails are pretty long now though, so there's that. The formula and application was great though. It went on really smoothly!

Overall, I really like this duo! I can't wait to see if Hare Polish releases anymore Lana Del Rey polishes cause I want one for every song! The duo isn't available at Hare Polish's etsy shop anymore, but they will be available at each of their authorized retailers. Make sure to follow Hare Polish, links down below!
