Twinsie Tuesday: Halloween

Hey guys! Glad to be here again, so how is everyone's week going so far? Does anyone have any plans for Friday? It's Halloween! And because of that, this week's prompt is inspired by Halloween! Check out what I did down below!

I went very simple with this prompt. My nail art skills are kind of rusty because all I've had time for lately is swatching. I saw @capitalpolish post a beautiful gradient so I just had to recreate it! I used OPI I Sing In Color and OPI 4 In The Morning. It was super easy to do and I think it looks perfect for Halloween, especially for those that aren't really into a lot of nail art and like the more simple look.

Make sure to check out what the rest of the girls did down below! Talk to you next week!

Alchemy Lacquers: Witches Weeds- Swatches & Review

Hey guys! I have just one more post before I head off to bed. Like I said in my previous post, Alchemy Lacquers isn't just releasing her Apothecary's Cabinet collection tomorrow. Rebecca is also releasing a second Halloween inspired collection called Witches Weeds. Check out all the polishes down below!

The Witches Weeds collection also consists of five new polishes, including some linear holos! I'm not gonna lie, I have a love hate relationship with Alchemy Lacquers. Hands down, this brand is the hardest to photograph. I live the polishes, they're always so amazing. But I always have a hard time capturing them accurately. And don't get me wrong, that's a good thing because it just shows how much work and detail Rebecca puts into each polish. Remember, this is being released tomorrow, Monday, October 20th at 8 PM

Belladonna is a grey crelly with an intense purple/pink shimmer and silver micro flakes. I used 3 coats for the pictures below. This was so hard to capture! It's not as grey as it's showing, the shimmer is pretty intense but I just couldn't capture it. It's so pretty though, it's a great twist on a grey polish. The formula and application was great.

Hemlock is a metallic blue leaning teal with linear holo and a duo chrome effect that shifts from green to gold. I used 3 coats for the pictures below. The description I provide is just my best guess and really just describing what I see but it's so hard to describe. It shifts through so many colors that I'm not quite sure what the base color is lol. All you need to know is that it's gorgeous and you need it in your life. Trust me, you do. On top of how beautiful it is, the formula was fantastic #winning

Mandrake is a light brown linear holo with silver shimmer through out and a gold to red duo chrome effect. I used 3 coats for the pictures below, with no top coat. Are you tired of the same old nudes? Are you waiting for something more exciting? Then wait no more! This polish is just for you! It is so beautiful, it has the strong linear holo, and then you tilt it to front and you have the silver shimmer. And you tilt it back and you have the gorgeous duo chrome. Plus, the formula was perfect. You need this!

Henbane is a deep magenta red with linear holo. I used 2 coats for the pictures below with no top coat. The holo is really strong, I totally forgot to get a shot of this outdoors. It is so pretty! And of course, the formula was fantastic.

Nightshade is deep blurple with a vibrant green shimmer. I used 2 coats for the pictures below with no topcoat. I really like this one too. It looks way darker in the bottle than on the nail. It was a nice surprise. It's still pretty dark. My camera kept picking the base up as blue though, but it actually more purple IRL. The formula and application was great.

I mean, you guys already know that I love this collection. I have a lot of nail polish but I can say, that I have no dupes for almost all of these. Check out the rest of Alchemy Lacquers' etsy shop to see the rest of her awesome polishes.  Remember, these are being released tomorrow at 8 PM, so make sure to purchase them by clicking here. Make sure to follow Alchemy Lacquers on Facebook and Instagram

Alchemy Lacquers: Apothecary's Cabinet Collection Swatches & Review

Hey guys! How was everyone's weekend!? I hope it was great. I had a long weekend this time actually. I went to DCA on Friday with my cousins and niece. It was so awesome seeing everyone's costume for the Halloween party they were having at Disneyland. Speaking of Halloween, I have an awesome Halloween inspired collection by Alchemy Lacquers! You know Rebecca never disappoints with her creations so I was pretty excited about this one. It'll be available tomorrow, Monday, October 20th at 8 PM!

This is actually just one of the two collections Rebecca, from Alchemy Lacquers, is releasing tomorrow, but I will have the other collection up in a bit. This collection consists of five new shades, there's something for everyone! I really liked it so I'm you guys will too. Remember, it'll be available tomorrow, Monday, October 20th at 8 PM!

Rotten Pumpkin Juice is a dark plum purple with blue, purple, green, and gold flakes throughout. I wore two coats but I could have used only two coats. The coverage was great and the formula went on really smoothly. I love this!

It's not as dark.

Ghost In A Bottle is a white crelly with black, neon yellow, neon orange, and bright purple hexes in different sizes and shimmer throughout. I wore 3 coats in the pictures below. I love crellies! Especially white crellies with bright glitters. This is great for Halloween, but I definitely see myself wearing this all the time cause I love it so much! Plus the formula and application was great, very smooth.

Eyes Of Newt is a dark green crelly base packed with multicolored micro glitters. I used 2 coats for the pictures below. I tried to capture this as much as I could but it was really hard to. The colorful glitters are way more noticeable than they are showing. I love this! It if wasn't for Ghost In A Bottle, this would probably be my favorite. The formula and application was great!

Glittered Cobwebs is a clear base polish packed with bright purple/magenta, orange, holo, and black micro glitters. I used 3 coats for the pictures below. This is just gorgeous. It's so simple yet it would catch my eyes when I was wearing it because it was so sparkly. I thought I wasn't going to be able to wear it alone, but it built up really nicely with the third coat. The formula and application was great!

Gilded Witches Brew is a purple tinted, gold to silver duo chrome with purple, black, and orange glitters. I used 3 coats for the pictures below. If you've been following Alchemy Lacquers for a bit now, then you'll know that she has a whole "Gilded" series of polishes, from mermaid inspired, to the Fourth Of July! This is definitely one of my favorites from her Gilded series. The formula and application was very good.

Overall, I definitely recommend getting this collection, if not the whole thing, then at least Ghost In A Bottle and Eye Of Newt! Trust me, you don't have anything in your collection like it. Remember, these are being released tomorrow at 8 PM, so make sure to purchase them by clicking here. Make sure to follow Alchemy Lacquers on Facebook and Instagram

Polished Colors: Charmed Cats Trio - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! I hope every one's been doing good. Sorry about disappearing again. To be honest, some thing's have happened in my life recently that has really affected me in every way. Let's just say it sucks but I hope I'll be feeling better soon. Anyways, today I have a quick post. I'm so excited to be working with Polished Colors again! Tasha is releasing lots of Halloween polishes, but today I on,y have the Charmed Cats trio. Get all the details below!

Polished Colors was actually the first indie brand I ever swatched for! Tasha gave me a chance and so I really appreciate that. It's great seeing how much Polished Colors has grown into this awesome brand!  The Charmed Cats trio, which consists of 3 glitter toppers,  is being released tomorrow (10/15), click here to purchase.

Scary Cat is super fun glitter topper with bars, light green squares, yellow and black dots, and large purple half moon glitters. I wore 2 thin coats over OPI First Class Desires. I actually really like this glitter topper. It definitely does remind me of Halloween and it's so interesting and unique! The formula and application was great, I did flip the bottle over for about 5 minutes before applying it which made it much easier.

Sacred Cat has pumpkin glitters with large black half moon glitters, small silver half moon glitters, and hex iridescent glitters. I wore two thin coats (with glitter placement) over OPI I Carol About You. I can definitely see where Tasha was going with this and it's awesome. But I definitely had some trouble applying this one. The glitters are so sparse and there's a lot of base so when you dip your brush in, all you get is a bunch of the base with very little glitters. The large pumpkin glitters are already hard to get anyways, but they tend to stick to each other so that was also a hassle.

Sassy Cat is a really cool glitter topper with grey, pink, and white large half moon glitters, yellow and black skull and cross bone glitters all in a clear base with a bunch of orange and white micro glitter throughout. I wore two thin coats over China Glaze Community. I love the micro glitters in this! They're so pretty. The formula and application was great but again, it was hard getting the large glitters even after flipping the bottle over. I noticed that if you tilt your bottle to the side and try to grab the glitters like that, instead of straight up, you will get a lot more glitters.

Overall, I really like these glitter toppers! They're so cute. And well, all large glitters are hard to grab on your brush. Remember this is being released tomorrow, October 15th! You can purchase it here. Make sure to follow Polished Colors on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and Facebook

The Ghostess With The Mostess is a glitter bomb with a clear base packed with burnt orange, orange peach, lavender, white, black, yellow, light yellow matter glitters in hex, star, dot and triangle shapes.  I wore one thin coat over She Nail Polish Chances.
