Twinsie Tuesday: Favorite Discontinued Polish

Hey guys! How did everyone's week start? I hope great! It's Tuesday again, so I have another Twinsie Tuesday post for you guys! This week's theme is Favorite Discontinued Polish, check out what I chose down below!

This was a hard one to do. Mostly to get started on. I was trying to find a discontinued polish in my stash. I knew I had some, but wasn't sure which ones. I finally decided on one of my favorite brands, Black Cat Lacquer. I've been buying from them since forever. They're actually my first, ever, indie polish purchase! I ended up choosing Sweet Dreams from their Spring 2013 collection. I bought it a while ago and actually tried to swatch it once but did a pretty bad job with it that I didn't finish, so I still consider it an untried.

Sweet Dreams is a mint, light green crelly with matte pastel shreds and iridescent micro shimmer. I wore 3 coats with topcoat. I did have some trouble with the formula a bit. It was more on the thicker side. It could be cause I've had it for a while, but I remember it being a bit thick when I swatched it for the very first time. I like the base color and the color of the glitters, but I'm not feeling the shreds. I don't know why, but I'm just not a fan of shred glitter. I do like the glitter color combo though!

I didn't realize until I started typing this up that it said "favorite" discontinued polish, and this is definitely not my favorite. I don't even know what I would choose for my favorite! I'm glad I was able to try this one though! What do you guys think of this polish? What's your favorite discontinued polish?

Glitter Or Die: The Sea Collection - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! How was everyone's weekend? I hope it was great! I haven't been doing much besides organizing my polish stash. I'm actually moving out with my boyfriend soon and my stash has been all over the place and I didn't want it to be a mess when I do move this upcoming weekend. And on top of that, I've just been swatching away. Today's swatches included a new Glitter Or Die Collection inspired by the sea, hence, The Sea Collection. Check out all the swatches below!

The Sea Collection will be released tomorrow at Glitter Or Die's storefront. It consists of 8 beautiful polishes, each inspired by a different sea creature. Anything that's inspired by the sea, I love! It's being released tomorrow, Monday, March 30th.

Jewel Toned Anemone is a white crelly base polish with different sized glitters and shapes including hexes, and dots in pink, fuchsia, and purple. I wore 3 coats with topcoat. Honestly, can you ever go wrong with a white crelly? No. This is so pretty and it went on really smoothly. There's a lot of glitter in there so you pick up a good amount on your brush. I did flip the bottle upside down to grab the large dots easier.

Blue Linckia is a periwinkle creme with a soft linear holo. I used 2 coats with topcoat. I wish I would have been able to capture the holo a lot better in this! It went on so smoothly. I definitely see myself reaching for this again.

Coconut Octopus is a turquoise creme. I used 2 coats with topcoat. OMG! I have my go-to teal creme (well had my go to teal creme) but this totally replaced it. My other one would stain my nails really bad but the formula was pretty good. But this baby right here, went on so, so smoothly and I had no staining whatsoever!

Here it is with just one coat and no topcoat. Yup, look at that coverage! I added a second coat just to even stuff out a bit.

Axolott is a semi sheer coral pink creme. I wore 4 coats, no topcoat. Aahh, I love this shade of pink. It's the perfect middle between pink and coral. I'm not a huge fan of showing off my vnl, but for this polish, I don't care. Love it!

Morey Eel is a sheer neon yellow jelly with black and white glitter in different shapes and sizes. I used 4 coats with topcoat. I'm really loving the glitter combo! Especially those medium sized white dots! You can easily wear this over a similar base if you don't like showing off your vnl.

Crinoidea Shrimp is a colorful glitter topper with royal blue, white, grey, and yellow glitters in different shapes and sizes. I wore 2 thin coats over Coconut Octopus. I'm really liking this glitter combo. I really liked wearing it over CO too. The formula and application was great, the perfect balance between glitter and base.

Velella is a glitter topper with turquoise, teal, and white glitters in different shapes and sizes. I wore 2 thin coats over Axolott. I love those teal hexes! I'm not a huge fan of bar glitter, but in this case, Glitter or Die did a fabulous job in using them. Formula and application was perfect.

Firefly Squid is a glow in the dark glitter topper with blue flakie and iridescent glitters with a matte finish. I wore 1 coat over Zoya Savita with topcoat. Those blue flakies are are gorgeous! I've always wanted a polish inspired by this awesome sea creature. Can't wait to do some nail art with this! The formula and application was great!

No undies.
Glow in the dark shot.

Overall, I'm totally loving this collection. Such great inspiration. It has a little something for everyone, be it, glitter toppers, or cremes, it's there! It's being released tomorrow, Monday, March 30th. Purchase these by clicking here. Make sure to follow Glitter Or Die on Instagram!

Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer: Kaffir Lily and Queen Lime Rose - Swatches & Review

I'm back with more Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer swatch spam! This time, I have the perfect polishes for spring! Spring and summer collections have got to be my favorite out of the year. They're bright, colorful, and just so pretty! Don't get me wrong, I love rocking those rich dark fall colors, but I'm always drawn more to the brighter shades. What is your favorite season for collections? Check out BEGL swatches below!

Recently, Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer was part of a huge box called Indie Mani Bunny Box (hosted by Ellagee) in which 15 different indie brands participated! Each box came with 11 full size polishes, 6 mini polishes, and a bunch of assorted manicure extras, hand care items, and nail art goodies. All for $80 (plus shipping for US and Intl.). Isn't that an awesome deal!? The box went on sale not that long ago and sold out in minutes. But Ellagee will be restocking only 4 more boxes tomorrow (she has a link on her site with spoilers). For the 4 people that are able to get the box, congrats for you! But for the rest of you, that didn't, you're in luck because Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer will be offering her contributions to the box at her storefront this Sunday, March 29th at 3:30 PM Est!

For the Indie Mani Bunny Box, BEGL included 9 butterfly water decals which have a black outline and body and purple/green/blue wings. She will have these available for 9/$1. Onto the polish...

Queen Lime Rose Zinnia is a pastel lime green with gold to pink shifting shimmers. I used 2 coats with topcoat. I'm totally lovin' this shade of green. It's kind of like a pistachio green. I wasn't able to capture the shimmer too well on my nails, sorry! But it's there and it adds such a nice touch to it. The formula and application was super smooth. It will be available in full($12) and mini($6) size.

Kaffir Lily is a medium pink linear holo creme with pink to gold shifting glass flecks. I used 2 coats with topcoat. Oh man, this shade of pink is beautiful! So soft and feminine. It's perfect for spring! And the flecks make it that much more interesting. It went on really smoothly. Though this was only available as a mini size in the box, it will be available in full($12) and mini($6) on Sunday.

Outdoor Shot

I really, really like these! They're just so pretty and perfect for spring. I wish I would have gotten the box because everyone's contributions are so cool. My low-buy is killing me! LOL These 2 polishes will be going on sale this Sunday, March 29th at 3:30 PM Est at Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer's storefront. Make sure to follow Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer on InstagramFacebookTwitter, and Pinterest. Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer: Siréne Fatale - Swatches & Review

Good morning guys! Finally it's Friday! What are everyone's plans this weekend? I haven't been to Disney in a while, so I think I will go for a bit. But I also need to start cleaning off my desk because it is just a mess. Don't you hate it when that happens? You bring out this polish, and then this polish, etc and then you realize it's just chaos LOL. Please tell me I'm not alone! Anyways, I promised more Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer swatches so here they are. For this post, I have their new installment to the Limited Edition Siren series, Siréne Fatale. Check out the swatches below!

The Siren series consists of limited edition polishes, each of which are numbered. So once they're gone, they're gone! This time, Julie is releasing a beautiful neon creme called Siréne Fatale.

Siréne Fatale is a hot neon pink with a strong blue flash and blue shimmers. I wore 2 coats with top coat.

I seriously can not get tired of neons! They're so pretty and bright, especially when the formula is this amazing. It was super creamy and went on really smoothly.

Siréne Fatale will be released only in full size for $8.50 this Sunday, March 29th at 3:30 PM EST, just click here to purchase! Make sure to follow Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer on InstagramFacebookTwitter, and Pinterest. You can even follow the creator of BEGL, Julie, through her blog!

Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer: Crooked Hearts Collection - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! Happy Thursday! I'm so happy the week is almost over, it's much needed. Today I have a new-to-me brand to share. Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer, that is! They will be restocking some beautiful shades and I have some of those for you guys today. Check out the swatches below.

Blue Eyed Lacquer is restocking quite a few things this March 29th at 3:30 PM EST, so this Sunday! But first, I'm going to show you her Crooked Hearts Collection. The rest of the posts will come shortly. The Crooked Hearts collection consists of 6 beautiful polishes and was originally a Valentine's Day collection, but with a twist! It's definitely not your typical collection and that's what I love about it! You can purchase the whole collection for $58 full size or $32 for mini sized bottles, plus shipping. She ships to both, US and international customers! Today I only have two to show you, but they're gorgeous so you'll for sure want to see!

Together Dead And Lonely is a black jelly with silver and red holo microglitters. I used 2 coats with top coat for the pictures below. Oh man, is this polish gorgeous or what?!? I absolutely love it. Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer describes it with just silver and red glitter but I swear I'm seeing green and blue in there too. My eyes be trippin' LOL The glitters really stand out beautifully against the black base. Fabulous formula!

The One Worth Leaving is a deep berry with pink and purple shimmers. I used 2 coats with topcoat for the pictures below. This is the only polish in the collection that falls under that 'red, purple, pink' color category, but it's still so much more unique! I love the shimmer in there! Plus, the formula and application just went on so smoothly.

Overall I'm very impressed with this brand! Great colors, and amazing formula! Julie (from BEGL) describes her polishes as 2 coaters and let me tell you, they have not disappointed. All have been 2 coaters so far. You can purchase these in full size ($8.50) or in mini size ($5) this Sunday, March 29th at 3:30 PM EST, just click here to purchase! Make sure to follow Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. You can even follow the creator of BEGL, Julie, through her blog!

There will be way more BEGL posts this weekend, so I shall declare this Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer weekend! Stay tuned!

Twinsie Tuesday: Pinterest Inspiration

Hey guys! It's Tuesday meaning, I have another Twinsie Tuesday post. This week's theme is Pinterest Inspiration. This actually took a while to do because once I was on Pinterest, I kept getting distracted with so many pictures! I was just pinning everything lol. I finally remembered why I had gone on Pinterest to begin with and found my inspiration! Check out what I chose down below!

I remember pinning this a while ago actually. I just loved the way people were using NOPI Be Awesome so that's why I pinned this pic, which you can see here. It's such a simple idea and just pretty!

I used OPI Do You Take Lei Away? as my base, and used NOPI Be Awesome for the glitter placement. From far, my nails look awesome LOL! But up close I can see all the imperfections, especially all those bubbles! I tried guys, I tried but this is a total fail!

I hope you guys like it though! Check out what the girls did down below!

Dollish Polish & Jindie Nails 'SUPER HEROES vs. SUPER VILLAINS' : Batman & The Joker - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! Long time no see huh? Sorry about that! I've been busy, busy, busy, swatching a core line for a gel polish company and it's definitely taken a lot of my time. I'm almost done, so things should be back to the usual soon. In the meantime, here's an awesome duo collaboration between Jindie Nails and Dollish Polish. This time, they're doing a whole new series of Super Heroes vs. Super Villains! The first duo in the line up is Batman & The Joker. Today is the last day for preorder, so make sure to check out all the pictures and info down below!

I love it when Dollish Polish and Jindie Nails collaborate! They've made some really awesome duos. If you're not aware, they did a 'Famous Couples Throughout History' series which included Romeo & Juliet and Bonnie & Clyde just to name a few. I do not know if they will continue with that series, but in the meanwhile, we can preoccupy ourselves with their newest series of SUPER HEROES vs. SUPER VILLAINS! How awesome is that!? The Joker & Batman duo is available for preorder RIGHT NOW but will be officially released on the 27th of March. They're limited edition so if they run out before that, they're gone for good!

Batman - Have You Ever Danced With The Devil In The Pale Moonlight? by Jindie Nails
This is a gray crelly loaded with gold and silver holo shimmer. It also has varying glitters in different shapes including dots, squares, triangles, and hexagons in shades of matte gray, matte black, matte yellow, and metallic gold and silver. I wore 3 coats for the pictures below. Let me tell you, at first I wasn't too fond of the base color, but once I put it on, it was so pretty and represented Batman so perfectly! The glitter combo is so perfect and the golden shimmer is such a nice addition. Jen did such a perfect job with this. Love the polish, plus the formula was super smooth. I did flip the bottle before applying it to have the larger glitters sink and have application be easier.

The Joker - Why So Serious? by Dollish Polish
This is a vibrant royal purple crelly, jam-packed with micro glitter of varying shades, including holo lime, emerald, burnt orange, indigo, blue, black, holo purple, iridescent blue, and sprinkled in are olive, orange, and indigo flakes. I wore 3 thin coats for the pictures below. Oh man, this is so gorgeous! I just love this! It's such a perfect combination of glitters and the flakes go so well in there. I tried so hard to capture the correct shade of purple but my camera hates me so I couldn't. It's way more purple than it's showing. It went on so smoothly and I got great coverage with two coats but decided to do three.

Overall, I'm really impressed with this duo! I mean, Jindie and Dollish never disappoint to be honest, but I think this is my favorite collaboration of theirs. The polishes are just really creative and really well made. I most definitely recommend these to a die hard Batman fan, and basically anyone that loves polish! Again, this duo is available TODAY for preorder, but today is the LAST DAY! So make sure to get them. They will also be available Friday, March 27th. They are limited edition and each bottle will be numbered and mailed with an index card with all the info. You can purchase them either here, or here
