Fourth Of July Nail Art Plus Review of Born Pretty Brushes

Hey guys! I have another post today! I'm really trying to get as much stuff done as possible this weekend so maybe you'll see multiple posts a day this weekend. Is that sad that that's all I'll be doing this weekend?? LOL Maybe, but it's what I like to do. I might go to Disneyland this Sunday so yay for that!

Anyways, of course I had to post  Fourth Of July inspired nails! I don't know why, but I usually don't participate in holiday themed nail art. I think it's because I'm too lazy to do it on time lol. But I thought this year should be different. Anyways, I saw this awesome red, white, and blue tie dye shirt that totally inspired me to do these!

I hope you guys like it!

For the Tie Dye effect on my pointer and pinky finger I used Wet N Wild Wild Shine A Blank Canvas and Red Red, and Sinful Colors Endless Blue. And for my middle and ring finger I layered Black Cat Lacquer America F*uck Yeah! over OPI My Signature is "DC".

I used these brushes from the Born Pretty Store (that I received for free to review) to do the tie dye effect. This is what the brushes look like:

They're pretty cheap so the brushes aren't that durable. The plastic feels really weak, like they'll break easily. But the brushes were actually pretty great. I wish they were kind of thinner, but they worked well.

I heard some people had really bad experiences with these. So I guess it just depends on your order. I personally didn't have a bad experience with them, but I guess you don't know what you'll get. Just make sure to contact Born Pretty to get an exchange or a refund.

  2. the tie dye nails are really wearable! With most 4th of july manicures I think they look too OTT to wear any other time of the year. Those are great though!
