Twinsie Tuesday: Manicure Seen On A Celebrity

Hey guys! It's Tuesday which calls for another Twinsie Tuesday post. This weeks theme is to recreate a manicure seen on a celebrity. When I think celebrity nail art, I automatically think about Zooey Deschanel, she always has awesome nails. So check out which one of her designs I chose for this week!

I'm gonna be honest, I initially wanted to do Lana Del Rey's classic nails, but my nails aren't shaped like hers so that was out. Zooey is still an awesome choice I think, she always has really cute and doable nail art. Because I'm short on time I chose a very simple design. You can click here to see Zooey's original design.

I actually really like her twist on the typical French mani, plus it's perfect for spring!

I used OPI Do You Take Lei Away? as the neutral base and used China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle for the tips.

This is so easy to do and you get to have colorful nails without them being too overwhelming.

I hope you guys like what I did! Make sure to check out what the rest of the girls did, just use the links below.

Twinsie Tuesday: Fandom

Hey guys! It's Tuesday which calls for another Twinsie Tuesday post! This weeks theme is Fandom. Guess what I chose?? Find out after the jump!

So when I found out we had to do fandom inspired nails, I didn't know what I was gonna do. I was trying to think of your typical fandoms: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Doctor Who... but I'm just not a huge fan of those. But then I realized I've been a huge fan and part of something for a while: the Disney Fandom! I never really considered Disney to be a fandom but after some research, I guess it is!

I love everything Disney! Theme parks, movies, pins, etc. I go to Disneyland/DCA about every 2 weeks. I have such a big attachment to it because I've been going since I was little. I remember going with my parents and brother and having all of my aunts and uncles and cousins there too! Oh when life was much simpler. *sigh* When I go, I trade pins and search for hidden mickeys, yeah, I'm such a Disney nerd lol. Watching Disney movies is like watching an old family video. It just brings so many wonderful memories of my childhood.

Things kind of worked out perfectly because I recently got this polish that I specifically bought because of some nail art I saw a while ago on @jewsie_nails on Instagram. Jessie's nail art totally reminded me of a princess, can you guess which one?

Princess Jasmine! She's not my favorite princess but I still like her a lot. I used Jindie Nails Footprints In The Snow and Orly Bling to create this look. I used 3 coats on my pinky and pointer finger, and one coat on my middle and ring finger with Orly Bling as a French Tip.

So what do you guys think? What's your fandom? Let me know in the comments! Make sure to check out what the rest of the girls did down below!

Alchemy Lacquers: Artic Alchemy - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! How is everyone's year going so far? Now that all the stress of the holidays is gone, I'm feeling a lot better. Let me know what you've done, down below in the comments. Let's get right to it this time cause I have an awesome collection to show you! Alchemy Lacquers has once again hit it out of the park with these gorgeous colors. Take a look at what I'm talking about down below.

Alchemy Lacquers is releasing her new Artic Alchemy collection which consists of 9 colors of which 8 are new and 1 is old. This collection is being released Thursday, January 15th at 8 PM EST. I really love all of these polishes, there are some in there that I can't wait to do nail art with cause of that gorgeous shifting.

Thundersnow is a blue leaning, cool grey with blue and silver flakies. I used 2 coats in the pictures below. I really like this shade of grey. It's kinda blue, kinda grey and it's just works really well with this combo. The formula and application was great.

Permafrost is a grey creme with linear holo and rainbow colored flakies. I used 2 coats for the pictures below. I gotta say, I love Alchemy Lacquers' take on this grey. I mean, grey polishes are not the funnest colors, but with all those gorgeous flakies, not to mention the holo, this polish is so beautiful! Plus the formula and application was great!

Moraine is a silver flakie polish with holo and gold shifting flakies. I used 2 coats for the picture below, formula and application was great. This is a favorite of mine from the collection. I wish I could have been able to capture this better. It's definitely unique in my collection.

Snow Of The Vale is a white based crelly with white hexes in different shapes and sizes and blue and purple shimmer throughout. I used 3 coats for the pictures below. The formula was great on this one! No bold spots, it just went on really smoothly. This is one of my favorites from the collection! It totally does remind me of snow. It's so pretty.

Gilded Icicles is a gold topcoat with rainbow colored flakies running throughout. I wore 2 coats over black. I really wanted it to stand out behind the black but I'm not sure it worked really well lol. Rebecca hasn't done a gilded top coat ever so I was really excited for this one. It's perfect.

Graupel is another top coat with white, mint and light grey hexes in different shapes and sizes. I wore 1 coat over China Glaze Pack Lightly . I really like how simple this is, what a great combination of colors. The formula and application was great.

Firn is a minty-blue polish with linear holo and blue flakies and rainbow shimmer running throughout. I wore 3 coats for the pictures below. This is definitely my favorite out the collection! That base color is just so beautiful!  Plus the holo, and the flakies, love it! Plus the formula and application was flawless.

Dawn Of The North is a blue to fuchsia shifting polish. I used 3 coats for the pictures below. That's the best that I can describe it lol. It's just too gorgeous of a polish to describe, you just have to see it. This is also one of my favorites. I'm still debating it in my head whether I like this one more than Firn but I don't know! I definitely don't have anything like this in my collection. Wouldn't this be perfect for some mermaid inspired nail art!? I'm totally gonna do it!

Overall this collection is perfection. It truly does live up to it's name. I know you guys will love these polishes, they are much more amazing in person. Especially Dawn of the North and Firn. At least get those, trust me! This collection is being released Thursday, January 15th at 8 PM EST at Alchemy Lacquers! Be there!

Twinsie Tuesday: Pond Mani

Hey everyone! Twinsie Tuesday is starting up again. We all took a short break because of the holidays and such. I'm so excited to be starting again! I really haven't been doing much nail art because of all the swatching I was doing but I really want to start doing that this year. Check out what I did for this week's theme down below.

This year, we have added 3 new members: Amanda, Savannah, Beckie so make sure to check out their awesome blogs! They really do have some great nail art and swatches! This year's first theme is pond mani. I've only used this technique once before which you can look at here. I wasn't sure what to do so I decided on something simple, a skittle mani.

I used OPI I'm Never Amberrassed (thumb), China Glaze Keepin' It Teal (pointer), OPI I Can Teal You Like Me (middle), OPI Don't Violet Me Down (ring), OPI Be Magentale With Me (pinky).

I was surprised that out of over 1000 polishes in my collection, I don't have many jellies. So I had to use my OPI Sheer Tints, which was actually good though because they've been in my untried pile for a while.

This was super easy to do. I first did 3 coats of each color, dotted white acrylic paint, and then added two more coats, except for the China Glaze. Yeah, that's a lot of coats, but the Sheer Tints are really really sheer, no wonder no one liked them.

I hope you guys like what I did, make sure to check out what the rest of the girls did down below.

OPI 50 Shades Of Grey Collection - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! Sorry about my absence. I hope everyone had a great holiday season! I just got together with my family, ate, danced, and exchanged gifts. What did you guys do? Anyways, I've been meaning to post this for a while now but just haven't had the time. I actually saw the new OPI 50 Shades Of Grey collection about a couple months ago. I think it's being released soon. Check out all the details below.

Though I always like colorful collections better, I was actually pretty excited about this collection because I don't have many grey polishes. I thought it would be a nice addition to my collection. The formula and application was great. Some were a bit watery but still went on great.

Cement The Deal is a light grey creme, the lightest of the collection too. I used 3 coats for the swatch below. I really like this grey. The formula was a bit watery but stills went on easily.

Shine For Me over Cement The Deal

Dark Side Of The Mood is a dark charcoal with a hint of silver shimmer. I used 2 coats for the picture below.

Shine For Me is a shimmer silver with blue and purple sparkle, and it's the only glittering polish in the six piece collection. I used 3 coats. I really love this one! It's so pretty.

Shine For Me over Embrace The Grey
Embrace The Grey is a medium grey creme. I used 3 coats. It's a great grey if you don't have one like this in your collection. It's also perfect for a grey ombre with Cement a The Deal.

Dark Side of the Mood, Embrace the Deal, and Cement The Deal

My Silk Tie is a fine silver shimmer. I used 3 coats. This is such a pretty silver and the formula was great.

Romantically Involved and Dark Side of the Mood over My Silk Tie

Romantically Involved and Dark Side of the Mood over My Silk Tie
Romantically Involved is a deep red creme. I used 2 coats. I know everyone is tired of having reds in every collection but this red is just gorgeous! It doesn't stain and the formula was amazing.

Overall, I really liked this collection. I'm not crazy about them, but they're definitely a nice addition to my polish collection. Th formula was great, no complaints. Which ones will you guys be picking up?
