Sassy Cats Lacquer: Swatches & Review

Hey guys! I can't believe it's going to be Friday again! Doesn't the week go buy so fast?! This week has instantly been made better because of Lana Del Rey's new album: Ultraviolence. I absolutely love it! It honestly makes an hour of driving in traffic not that bad lol. Anyways, today I have a new indie brand called Sassy Cats Lacquer. I don't have a specific collection, it's a bunch of random ones but there's something for everyone I think cause there's holos, jellies, thermals, and shimmers. Check out the swatches below!

This post is pretty picture heavy so sorry about that! It's hard just choosing one picture for each polish, you guys understand!  For some reason, most of these polishes are pretty sheer and have a jelly base. they still built up to full coverage but it took a few more coats then usual.

I Pink I'm Purple. 4 coats. This is a thermal polish that turns purple when cold, and pink when warm, with a pink shimmer through out. I really like this thermal polish. Pink and purple go so well together so there really is nothing to complain about this polish. Well, I don't like that I need that many coats for full coverage, but it's not that big of a deal. The good thing is that it didn't pull and get bald spots.

Roses Are Gold. 3 coats. This is a light pink mauve with golden frost, golden shimmer, and fuchsia shimmer through out. This is part of the Majestic Collection. Roses Are Gold is so pretty and girly! I like the shimmer in it. It was pretty sheer too but it built up nicely.

Mocking Jay. 3 coats. This is a sheer light blue linear holo graphic polish with a  slight shimmer through out. This is part of the Quarter Quell (Catching Fire) Collection. This is so pretty! I wish the sun was out to capture the holo in this, it's pretty strong. I really like it.

Blood Rain. 4 coats. This is a light pink nude with linear holographic through out and fuchsia shimmer. This is also part of the Quarter Quell (Catching Fire) Collection. OMG! I think this is my favorite out of the nine that I'm swatching today. It's just so pretty. It's weird cause it's almost like it's clear, but it's actually a nude leaning pink. It's really unique. Again, this was pretty sheer.

Bella Mabella. 5 coats. This is a really sheer blue jelly with lime green, mint, grey and silver hexes in different sizes all in a blue shimmer. This is part of the IG Girls Collection. This is extremely sheer. I suggest wearing an undie with this because though I was able to get almost full coverage with it, it would have been destroyed easily cause it was so thick. I love the glitter combination of this but I'm not sure about the base color. The blue is pretty but it's kind of like a frost so it's kind of streaky.

Mermaid Grotto. 3 coats. This is a slight textured polish with green, blue, turquoise micro glitter. This is part of the Fantasy Collection. OMG! Any polish that reminds me of mermaids is always a favorite in y book. I don't know why I'm obsessed with mermaid nail polish. This one is so pretty! The green and the blue go so well together. And I love that I was able to get full coverage with only a few coats. 

HoneyDew.  3 coats.This is a thermal polish that's mint when cold and when warm with green shimmer throughout. This is part of the Summer Sorbet Collection. I think this polish is so cute! I love the color! I love the green shimmer!  I'm not sure what those little green dots are though, you can see them in the bottle too. I think it might be the pigmentation and it just wasn't mixed well. The application was great.

Rubies To Riches. 2 coats. This is a red frost with bronze undertones. It also has micro holo glitter through out. This was really opaque and had  a really good formula. I only needed two coats! I'm not a huge fan of frost polishes so I probably won't be using this one much.

SCL Prototype. 1 coat over Sally Hansen Pacific Blue. This is a glitter polish with blue and pink micro glitter in a clear base. I really liked wearing this glitter topper over this blue. They go perfect together. I'm pretty sure you can get full coverage with this glitter polish.

Jindie Nails: July A Box, Indied Exclusive Plus More - Swatches & Review Part 1

Hey Guys, I have more swatches from one of my favorite indie brands: Jindie Nails. I have the new July A Box, Indied exclusive polish by Jindie Nails which will be available June 26th, 2014 at Llarowe, So check out the swatches below.

I'm really excited for July's A, Box Indied. July's theme is 'A Fair To Remember'. This months box will feature Black Cat Lacquer, Elevation Polish, Dollish Polish and Contrary Polish. I'm really loving the theme for this box and the sneak peeks I've seen so far are really pretty. You can check out the sneak peeks yourself by clicking Here. 

Freaks At The Fair. 3 coats. This a mint leaning green crelly with gold, white, red, blue, green and yellow glitters in different shapes like dots, squares, hexes, diamonds and micro glitter in different sizes. I love the base color for this polish it goes so perfect with the glitters combination. I did have a bit of trouble with the formula but i just added a few drops of nail polish thinner and it worked fine just make sure to flip it over a few minutes before applying to make all the glitters come down. Other than that I love this polish it's so unique, I don't know how Jen comes out with these great glitter combos.

Again the July A Box, Indied is being released on Llarowe June 26th, 2014.

Purplexed. 3 coats. This polish is a pastel lavender frost with subtle linear halo. I'm not a big fan of frost polishes but this one is so unique that you can't not like it. Plus the usual brush strokes that always appear with a frost polish are basically not even there when you apply this polish. The choice of purple is so pretty it's almost like a metallic lavender. The halo is a lot stronger than is coming out in my nails I just could not capture it. I had no issues with the formula or application.

Higher Flower. 2 coats. A highly pigmented neon pink polish, loaded with micro flakes and holographic glitters in purple and silver. The flakie colors are bronze, silver, purple, pink and blue. This pink is so bright and neon, it's like a perfect barbie pink. I couldn't quite capture the different color flakes in it because the neon pink overwhelmed my camera. The formula on this was truly flawless, I could have done one coat but I could see my VNL just a bit and I hate seeing it through my mani so I did a second coat. Every pink lover out there needs to have this. I love it.

Bottle shot.

Patience Is A Virtue. 3 coats. This is a red leaning pink with  red, blue, light green and silver glitters in different shapes like dots, squares, hexes and micro glitters all in a silver shimmer. I think this is an exclusive to the Jindie Junkies Facebook group. I suck at describing polishes that's why I put that this is a red polish but its not a full on red nor a full on pink but its not a fuchsia either. This had a bit of a frosty finish because of the shimmer but I had no trouble with it at all.

Barney Blew Up. 3 thin coats. This is a light lilac crelly loaded with tons of different glitters and it has magenta, lavender, and mauve metallic squares and hexes; large and medium neon purple and neon green transparent hexes; matte white hearts and hexes all in a very light lavender shimmer. I have been eyeing this one ever since I found Jindie Nails. I was a dedicated Barney worshiper when I was smaller. And of course I carried around my stuffed Barney everywhere and nauseated my parents with endless Barney episodes. This is totally Barney in a bottle. Jen literally describes Barney's insides as being represented by certain glitters in the polish. This is really packed with glitter so make sure to do thin coats and have a nice top coat to follow.

Like always, I'm never disappointed with any Jindie Nail's polishes. The formula was great and the polishes are unique. I totally recommend to everyone to check out this brand, plus Jen is so sweet. Twinsie Tuesday: Summer Lovin' - Neon Dry Marble Nail Art Plus Tutorial

Hey guys! How's every one's week going? I hope it's going great! Mine is ok, so far it's just work but I'm excited to share with you guys that I have been invited to join a new blogger group called Twinsie Tuesday where every Tuesday, a group of nail bloggers post every Tuesday with a pre-determined theme. This is all very exciting for me because I usually just fly solo when blogging, but now I'm part of a group with a bunch of lovely gals ( did I really just use the word gals?? lol). This week's theme is Summer Lovin' so check out what I did down below!

So when I thought about Summer Lovin' I automatically thought about Grease lol but that's too hard for me to do. So then I just thought about summer, and of course palm trees, and beaches came to mind. But then I thought neons! Neons are so in during the summer and it worked out perfectly cause I was already doing a neon mani to post on instagram. I really loved how my dry watermarble came out, but since I only did it on two of my nails, I decided to do a full mani with it. I even have a pictorial for you!

I absolutely love this technique! It is perfect for summer! It kinda has a tie dye look to it! And what's best is that it's super easy to do! And all you need to make this is a plastic baggie, like a Ziploc bag...and of course the neon polishes.

Here's what I used:

Pre-cut baggie squares ---->









First, what you want to do is apply a base coat. Then, apply a white base coat to help the neon really pop:

Then, once you have everything ready, like your pre-cut squares, make sure to have all your bottles open to easily apply drops of each polish. Make sure to let the white base dry completely though!

Apply drops of polish randomly on your nail, they can overlap if you want.

Then quickly grab your square and gently place it on top of your nail like so:

Then gently dab your nail on top of the plastic to gently spread out the polish. Don't over due it though or else it'll mix too much and then you won't be able to tell the colors apart. Then gently lift the baggie to see your design:

As you can see, mine has more blue because the polish I put on top was blue, so apply it according to what color you want to show more. Also, as you can see, some of the white can be seen but you can easily fix that. What I do is use the same brush that comes with the polish and try to remove as much polish that I can from the brush. And then gently dab the brush along the exposed white base. 

This time I chose to cover it with pink because there isn't much on my nail.

Heather Hues: Hello Kitty and Friends Collection- Swatches & Review

Hey guys! I have another post today, this time I have a new indie brand called Heather's Hues. I have honestly been so impressed with Heather's polishes! She released a Disney inspired collection which I will have soon cause tomorrow is pay day! Yay! But today, I have her new collection inspired by Sanrio characters. I'm really loving these so far! I wish I could have all of them to show you but I only have two, so check the out after the jump!

The Hello Kitty & Friends collection consists of 10 new polishes. There's some cremes, jellies, glitter toppers, you name it! I can't believe no one has done a collection inspired by Sanrio. I mean, they might have done a Hello Kitty inspired polish, but not a whole collection! Heather is just so creative. So today I have a creme and a jelly to show you.

This Little Pig. 3 coats. This is a pale peach crelly filled with teal hexes and squares, light blue hexes, pink/coral dots with holographic micro glitters through out. This polish is inspired by Pippo. When I saw this polish, I was automatically wanted it! It's just so cute and girly. I love the color combination, from the base, to the glitters. The formula was great but the large pink/coral glitters were hard to get on my brush so I had to flip the bottle over before continuing swatching. So just make sure to do that before you apply it. 

Frogs "Ke-Roak". 3 coats. This is a neon green jelly with neon green and emerald glitters in different shapes and sizes. The awesome thing about this polish is that it comes with optional glitters that you can choose from! You can include hot pink squares like this ( which Heather mixes in the polish for you):

Or you can choose these large baby pink circles that come in a little baggy for easy glitter placement:

Overall, I think these polishes were great. They're so pretty and unique! I totally recommend checking this brand out, you won't regret it! This collection is available for purchase now! Just click here to purchase.

I also have two polishes that are part of Heather's Hues Happily Ever Lacquered Collection, which is inspired by Disney duh! The Happily Ever Lacquered collection consists of 14 polishes, yes FOURTEEN! And each is inspired by a certain Disney character.

Magic Carpet Ride. Glitter Gradient over Essie Limo. This is a jelly polish with a sheer blue base with gold and teal glitters in different shapes and sizes, and gold and teal flakies. This is inspired by Princess Jasmin from Aladdin. When i saw this polish I wasn't all that interested in it but once I put it on I realized that I really like the glitter combination, it's really soft and girly. It's pretty sheer so you might want to layer it over something. Other than that formula and application was great.

Let Down Your Hair. Inspired by Rapunzel from Tangled. This polish is a glitter bomb, it's full of purple and lavender micro glitters and hexes, as well as rose glitters. So girly, I love it!
